Rest in the Lord

In the end times, we will see and hear about manythings that are wrong, unjust, and evil. There will be times when we will try to do something about the things that are wrong or evil, but often we are going to find that we must just rest in the Lord and wait for him to take action.

The Word of God tells us to "Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him; fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass" (Psalm 37:7). There are times when wickedness increases and the Lord allows that wickedness to be used as a threshing instrument to separate wheat from the chaff. In times of evil or injustivce, we often must just rest in the Lord and wait for him to move and trust for his protection.

In Psalm 46, we are told, "Be still and know that I am God..." (verse 10), and again in Psalm 29, we are reminded that the Lord sits upon the flood; the Lord sits as King forever. The Lord will give strength to his people; the Lord will bless His people with peace (Psalm 29: 11-12).

We must ask the Lord for discernment in order to know when to move and when to rest in Him. We are living in times where He is  the only answer and our shelter. We are told to not fret because of the evildoer, but to wait upon the Lord. They that rest in and wait upon the Lord shall inherit the earth and renew their strength. Let's learn to rest in the Lord.
